With 249 finishers in the half marathon the Hawks that stood out and caught my eye were Marc Scott who placed 3rd overall with a solid 1.21.49.

Matamata Road Relays 2015 Results

A smaller than usual contingent of Hawks ventured over to Matamata for the 45th running of their street relays. It is a sharp 3.3km dash, a definite change to the usual 5 to 10k club races we have.

Sweeney Cup 2015 Results

Handicap 8km Road Race whereby each entrant has a starting time based on their estimated 5km time. Slowest start first.

National Cross Country Champs 2015 Results

The Halswell Quarry course for nationals provided quite a dry surface for a midwinter race. Hawks runners scored three medals.

Taitua Arboretum Relay 2015 Results

We had nice weather at the beautiful Taitua Arboretum for this year's event. 22 runners and their supporters turned up and were handicapped into 6 teams of equal ability with the aim being to give each runner on each leg a competitive race.

Waikato BOP Cross Country Champs 2015 Results

It was a challenging course with a mix of genuine hills and faster flat terrain and when the predicted weather bomb arrived just prior to the start of the first race, sloppy mud and fast flowing rivulets were added and running lines became another skills test for those taking part.

North Island XC Champs 2015 Results

Quite excellent running conditions this year under light rain cool but no wind. I was delighted that 27 Hawks took up the cross country challenge as it was always my most enjoyed part of the sport. Chuffed to see Hawks win five firsts, four seconds and two thirds.

Cross Country Club Champs 2015 Results

A good crowd of runners turned out on Saturday for the Hawks' Club XC Champs, which took place at Minogue Park. The classic course had to avoid the lake circuit this year but runners assured us it was still thoroughly challenging.

NZ Secondary Schools XC 2015 Results

The NZSSCC was held on the Mosgiel golf course south of Dunedin over the weekend and many Hawks members took part for their schools.

Double Rainbow Trail - Mark 2

Last year I did the 17km (1 lap up) and so this year, after gaining a free entry ( thanks guys), I decided why not try the 25km ( 2 laps up). 4 laps is just mental. Who would do that?

Tauranga Cross Country 2015 Results

Some 158 athletes took part in the Tauranga Open Cross Country races held at Waipuna in crisp but quite dry conditions. Some 17 Hawks travelled over the hill and showed the club flag.

Christchurch Marathon 2015 Results

Christchurch Marathon day started at a brisk -3 degrees. A lot of buildup to get to today. Would all those hours of training pay off in the result?

School of Origin 2015 Results

Thanks to all who took part in this event. Outstanding run of the day was from the evergreen John Crane with an age-adjusted score of 85%, closely followed by Harry Ewing and Isaiah Priddey, both on 82%

Huntly Half Marathon 2015 Results

Alex Parlane led a lonely path around the Huntly half marathon course, winning as he liked in 1h 12m 38s. The former national cross country champion clocked a personal best in the windy conditions finishing a minute ahead of his Wesley Club team mate Tom Moyes.

Reduction Relay 2015 Results

This was a fun cross country event where runners were divided into mixed teams and must all run together. One runner drops off each lap.

Cambridge XC Relays 2015 Results

Well done to our Hawks Relay Teams! Everyone had a great blast around the 3k. First in grade were MO2, MM and MW, with WO, MO1, MM2 and Hawks U18 coming in second. Sam Montgomerie ran the fastest lap, at 10.13, and Lucy Farrell had an impressive water jump effort.
