SUMMARY:Bannister Plaque
DESCRIPTION:The Bannister Plaque will be a 2 person cross country relay at the Cobham Drive course. Each team will cover 2 x 1km legs and 2 x 2km legs. The teams can do these in any order and each team member must do 2 of the legs – but can’t do consecutive legs. \nMeet at the Clubrooms. Doors open from 12:30pm\, be there for 1pm to select teams and for briefing\, and race start is 1:30pm. Bring a plate for afternoon tea.

SUMMARY:Gilchrist Rose Bowl School of Origin XC
DESCRIPTION:This will again be run in a School of Origin format (with teams based on what high school you did or do attend)\, and welcomes all secondary school athletes as well as members. \nThis event has been around for 5 or so years now. This is how it works. Each runner is put in a team according to which high school they went to and their age. To make a team\, there needs to be at least 3 from the same school. In the event of insufficient numbers\, teams are made up of regions\, or countries\, or even a world/international selection. All runners are counted in results. \nRace options are either 4 or 6 km. After the race\, your result will be run through the highly technical and complicated World Masters Association age grade calculator. \nThe team with the highest average score will be announced the winners for 2016.

DESCRIPTION:This is a major event on the club calendar each year. Held at Minogue Park\, meeting next to the miniature railway. The course covers a 3km lap and/or a 2km lap\, with a 1km lap for the younger juniors. It is a challenging course with some hills and it can be wet and muddy.
