DESCRIPTION:Dudfield Duathlon and 5kmTT Saturday 8th  August  10:30am. \nCurrently\, this is last years info\, please check the newsletter for the confirmed details. \nMeet at  Dudfields.33 Cromwell Drive by 10:30am to collect timing chip and briefing. \nPS if you don’t have a bike we will have a TEAMS Option \nOr 5k TT. \n11:00AM Start / Transition- from Substation Peacockes Road. \nFormat is Run-Bike-Run. \n2.5k – 16K -2.5K \nRun Up Weston Lea Drive and back – (No exit road\, very quiet) \nBike to end of Peacocke Road and back. \nRepeat run without loop.

SUMMARY:Trophy Day
DESCRIPTION:Trophy day is a handicap start and not to be missed! Lots of trophies up for grabs\, and you may just score one\, forget\, and then be pleasantly surprised at the prize giving in October. \nThis is a handicap race from the clubrooms with a staggered start based on your approximate or estimated 5km time – so in theory\, everyone should finish together. In the past\, there have been some very exciting finishes with the bulk of the field often only within 30 or 40 seconds. It’s a great chance for those who aren’t normally near the front to scoop one of the clubs most sought after trophies (…and to test your maths and timing skills). \nDoors open at 12.30 pm \nRegistrations taken from then onwards this is a handicap  5 km race so runners need to estimate their time they will do. \nKids 2 km race is first at 1.30 pm mass start here. \n5 km race starts at 1.50 with the clock counting down and runners leave once their time they estimated comes up. \nBring a plate for afternoon tea

SUMMARY:Sweeney Cup
DESCRIPTION:This is a very popular event on the Hawks calendar and brings in many who haven’t attended the earlier cross country races. The format is a handicap road race whereby each entrant has a starting time based on their estimated 5km time. Slowest start first. \nIt will be held (start | finish) at Horsham Downs hall/school\, as in previous years. \nEvent Program:\n12:30 –1 pm.  Registration outside the Horsham Downs hall.\n1:00 pm Boys & Girls U15   2 km.\n1:15 pm First Sweeney Cupper leaves\n2:00 pm-ish Most runners start\n2:45 pm Approximate finish time – Note Unfortunately there is no afternoon tea this year due to the Covid restrictions… \nRegistration\nAll runners and walkers collect a timing tag and CALCULATE their own finishing time from the table showing 5k times (and last years results).\nClub runners will be given a numbered tag. \nPlease remember to register on the Wufoo form prior to attending – form can be accessed <<here>> \nBase Manager – Graham Dudfield
