SUMMARY:Mauao King and Queen of the Mountain
DESCRIPTION:The MTF Finance Mauao King & Queen of the Mountain returns to Mount Maunganui on 21 April 2024\, organised by Athletics Tauranga. \nThe Senior race is a approx. 4.5km run along the main beach to the summit of Mauao (via the stairs)\, then down and back along the beach. There is also a Junior race (U15) that runs part way up Mauao to the tree/bush-line and back (approx 2.5km). \nThe start and finish line is on the Mount Main Surf Beach opposite Mt Drury near Leisure Island/Moturiki Island. \nThis event is a World Mountain Running affiliated race – the only one in the Oceania Region. \nDistances/Events\nJunior (U15): ~ 2.5K\nSenior: ~ 4.5K

SUMMARY:Craters Forest Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:Event options include (all events can be run or walked); 21km half marathon\, 12km\, 6km\, and a 2km trail tigers kid’s dash. All events start and finish from our festival event site at the Hub. \nAll of the courses are on trails within the Craters forest MTB park\, so are largely MTB tracks\, although very\, very sweet for running and walking. Think pine-needle covered single track in one of the most amazing forests in this amazing country we get to play in! There will also be some forest road sections from time to time\, to link those really cool bits.
