SUMMARY:The Riverhead Backyard ReLaps Relay
DESCRIPTION:A relay for teams of 2\, 4 or 6 people completing as many laps as possible (non-stop) in either 8\, 12 or 24 hours. One runner at a time on the course which goes through the tent city so you transition right outside your team’s tent! \nHawks have been offered a 40% discount for teams entering this event. Contact Shona or Dawn for the code. \n\nSummary of the Relay\n\n\n\nStarts at 9am on Saturday 4th May\nTeams of 2\, 4 or 6 people complete as many laps (6.71km) as they can in the time limit\nThe relay does not have the 1 lap per hour format instead participants just keep running non-stop\nOnly one person from each team is running on the course at any time\nEach team will be allocated a tent site on the course at the event base. Teams set up this site as they please and the runners tag right outside their tent site\nTeams decide who runs how many and which laps – totally up to them\nThe event is aimed at all fitness levels from families to running clubs to corporate teams. DESCRIPTION:The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in Christchurch organise an annual ultramarathon at Hagley Park North in Christchurch\, with this year’s event on Sunday\, 5 May 2019. \nThere are 100km and 50km races\, which follow a 2.5km loop course. The 100km can be run solo\, or as part of a 4 person relay team\, with each team member completing 25km. \nThe 100km Race is an IAU Bronze Label event and incorporates the Athletics New Zealand (link is external) National 100km Championships. DESCRIPTION:Waihi and Waihi Beach in the southern Coromandel are the impressive setting for the spectacular Nugget Multisport Festival. \nThe Nugget MultiSport Festival began in 2010\, and the event has grown every year since. It brings you all that’s great about being outdoors and active\, and rolls it into an event that anyone can be part of. SUMMARY:Trophy Day
DESCRIPTION:Trophy day is a handicap start\, and is our traditional season opener. Not to be missed! Lots of trophies up for grabs\, and you may just score one\, forget\, and then be pleasantly surprised at prize giving in October. \nThis is a handicap race from the club rooms with a staggered start based on your approximate or estimated 5km time – so in theory\, everyone should finish together. In the past there have been some very exciting finishes with the bulk of the field often only within 30 or 40 seconds. It’s a great chance for those who aren’t normally near the front to scoop one of the clubs most sought after trophies (…and to test your maths and timing skills). \nDoors open 12.30 pm \nRegistrations taken from them on wards this is a handicap  5 km race so  runners  need estimate their time they will do. \nKids 2 km race is first at 1.30 pm mass start here. \n5 km race starts at 1.50 with the clock counting down and runners leave once their time they estimated comes up. \nBring plate for afternoon tea

SUMMARY:Huntly Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The event involves the traditional Half Marathon distance of 21.1km which is officially measured and certified under ANZ standards. There is also a 10km\, 5km and RUN kids 2km for Under 16 year olds. All events have the option of either a Run or Walk. \nThis new course is one that is expected to be FAST. It features a virtually flat single out & back route that follows the mighty Waikato River on completely on sealed roads. This course will only be used for the Half Marathon participants and no other event distances. \nLate March will provide better weather conditions to run in and is perfectly positioned 6 weeks prior to the Rotorua Marathon for those of you that need a Build Up race. \nAs New Zealand’s largest and oldest Half Marathon events the Huntly Half Marathon has had a long and enviable history since it started back in March 1981.
