DESCRIPTION:Road and Cross country season open day. Come along and enjoy a pack run (5km to 10km) course and find out about the season.\n\n\nDoors open 12:30\n\nSocial pack run at 13:00\nFollowed by BBQ and ice creams…\n\nIt will take place from 1pm to 3:30 pm on Saturday 2nd April\, so mark it in your diary now and be sure to invite any run-curious friends along.\n\n\nWe will have a pack run starting from the clubrooms (Grantham St\, adjacent to the boat ramp) from 1pm (all speeds catered to\, there will be someone to run with you regardless of pace) followed by a BBQ and ice creams! \nThere will be uniforms etc available for viewing/purchase at the clubrooms on the day\, see Rob Townsend. \nSo if you are keen to come along to check us out\, this is a perfect day to do it\, there will be lots of members keen to chat and encourage you!

DESCRIPTION:It’s a cross country relay upon the grass alongside Cobham Drive\, before the Cobham Bridge.\nA 2km loop where runners are divided into mixed teams of 3 and all run together. One runner drops off each lap. \nDoors open at 12:30pm. SUMMARY:Te Awamutu Golf Course Run
DESCRIPTION:This is the 11th running of the Paperplus Te Awamutu Athletics Club Golf Course Fun Run held at the Te Awamutu Golf Club on Kihikihi Road. \nSaturday 23rd April. Race starts at 9.30am. This event is open to the Public and Registered Athletes \nPrizegiving – There will be no Prizegiving due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID settings but there will be some spot prizes. Whilst settings may change by then we will plan on the current rules. We have reduced the entry fee accordingly. \nAn event for all abilites with the unique ability to race on a Golf Course with a rolling aspect and good underfoot conditions\, suitable for spikes. Although adjacent to a main road the event offers a safe environment for families\, with kids able to finish their 3k run whilst their parents continue in their own event. \nThere is a 3k run for Students $7\, a 3k and 6k walk and 6k and 9k run\, all $10. Online entries close at 11am Friday 16th April. We much prefer ‘online’ entries however we will take late entries on the day but ask that you bring the correct cash. A ‘late’ fee of $5 will apply. \nUsually all athletes start at the same time and will complete one\, two or three 3k circuits. This year we may split start times depending on entry numbers\, with 5min gaps. Athletes will be issued with a race number and will recieve a finishing time and certificate. \nThe Golf Course will reopen to Members at 11am. Please ensure you or your supporters do not run or walk on any of the Greens. It is a privilege to have access to the Course – we don’t want to lose that. \nAll proceeds go into a Travel Fund to assist our Club’s athletes on representative duties.
