SUMMARY:Red Stag Redwoods Relay
DESCRIPTION:This relay is a great annual event for running and walking teams with a course that winds its way through the iconic Redwood Forest. It is an event that is looked forward to by all and well represented by running clubs coming from as far as Hawera and Auckland. \nThe relay is open to running and walking teams from athletic clubs\, schools\, corporate and social teams over a distance of 5km per team member for the adult teams\, and 3.2km for the youth teams. The event is based by the Redwoods Visitor Centre\, Long Mile Road\, Rotorua and is run or walked through the iconic and beautiful Redwoods and adjacent forest nursery area. \nEntry Details:\nPlease have Names and Grades of members wishing to run this FUN EVENT.   Send to racesecretary@hamiltoncityhawks.co.nz \nNO LATER THAN 31st of August in order for me to organise relay teams in time. Entry is FREE to Hawks members. \nDistances:\nYouth Sections – 4 x 3000 met\nOther Sections – 5 x 5000 met \nPrize Categories\n1st in: Men’s Open; Women’s Open; Masters’ Men; Masters’ Women;\nMale Youth; Female Youth; Walkers and Composite/Corporate Sections \nSpot Prizes: A range of spot prizes to be won by teams and individuals \nAfter Race Awards\nTo be held outside the Redwoods Visitor Centre and I-site at the completion of the Relays

SUMMARY:Cambridge Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Cambridge Half Marathon\, 10km and 5km is an annual running/walking event at Cambridge High School. \nThe Half Marathon course follows a low-traffic\, mainly flat\, extremely scenic course north and east of Cambridge\, along Flume\, Aspin and Maungakawa roads. The 10km course cuts through Tulip Drive and Watkins Road to join the half marathon course at around the 5km mark. DESCRIPTION:Our club champs this year will be held on the Eastside course\, as we are unable to use the Ruakura circuit. Registration will happen from 1pm on the day. \n1.45 2k – U10\, U12 \, 3k U14\n2.05 – Start time for 50min+ 10k runners\n2.15 5k – U16 M/W\, U18 M/W\, U20 M/W\, MW (and open 5km to MM\, SM\, SW who wish to run shorter)\n2.15 10k – SW (open)\, SM (open)\, MM\, (and U20M or MW who wish to run longer)\n*note that club championship distances for U20M and MW is 5k\, and for MM is 10k. Titles in these grades will be awarded accordingly. \nInstead of a plate this year\, please bring a $2 donation per person towards some delicious Eastside platters afterwards.\nBase managers are Kris and Lance. \n\n\nHawks Past Results
