Gather your teammates to join in this exciting event and compete for fantastic team prizes!\n\nParticipants from your group compete as individuals\, the top 4 fastest times (must include 1 female\, or master) from each division are calculated to award a winner for the team relay.\n\nEvent details:\n-12:30pm event and venue opens.\n-1:00pm 2km Race start for participants aged 15 & under who run a single 2km loop\n-1:30pm 6km Race start for participants aged 16 years and over who run three 2km loops\, making a 6km leg\n\nSpectators will have a fantastic view of athletes passing through the course!\n\nClick here to register

DESCRIPTION:Hamilton City Hawks Cross Country Championships – held at Minogue Park\, meeting at the end of Tui Avenue.\n\nPlease register at https://hamiltoncityhawks.wufoo.com/forms/w1579clz007qf8i/\n\nThe course covers a 3 km lap and/or a 2 km lap\, with a 1 km lap for the younger juniors.\nIt is a challenging course with some hills and it can be wet and muddy.Suits Spikes or Trail shoes (or bare feet for the brave).\n\nJunior runners can only run up one grade\, and we limit anyone to running one race on the day.\n\nPlease wear your Club Singlet as this is an open event to all Waikato Bay of Plenty Athletics Clubs.\nBring a plate and hot water flask along for afternoon tea at Minogue Park.\n\nRace Times:\n12:30 Registrations open13:15 Under 10s and under 12s13:45 Everyone else\nDistances per age grade are:U10 boys and girls – 1kmU12 boys and girls – 2 kmU14 and U16 boys and girls – 3kmU18 boys – 6kmU18 girls – 5kmU20 men – 6kmU20 women – 5kmSM 20-39 – 9kmSW 20-34 – 6kmMM 40-49\, 50-59 & 60+ – 6kmMW 35-49\, 50-59 & 60+ – 5km\nThe age grades will be sorted by age on the day.\n\n\n \nEvent History\nWe have used the Minogue Park since the club’s inception in 1928 with a few years except in the late 70s & 80s.  There have been various course changes over the years. In the late 60s\, for example\, the Centennial Pools (now Waterworld) were built smack bang in the middle of our course. It was a good running course then (with a heap of high fences) as is our current course.  Yes\, it does get a bit wet during the rainy season\, but\, hey\, that’s cross country.  Merely running the course\, we are steeped in history. The current course was designed by Gordon Speirs in the mid-90s\, with only minor changes since.

The person who finishes closest to their estimated time wins – Don’t over or under estimate your time though \, Mr Dudfield has a secret handicap cut off.\n\nDoors open and registrations at 12.30.\n\nThe clock counts down\, with the slowest starting first. SUMMARY:Round the Bridges
DESCRIPTION:Taking in some of Hamilton’s best known landmarks\, the 12km and 6km courses include the scenic Waikato River paths and the iconic Hamilton bridges. Kids event 2km. \nRound the Bridges is one of the oldest annually contested events in New Zealand.
