DESCRIPTION:This is a fun Cross Country event held on the grass area on the eastern side of Hamilton Lake \nMeet at clubrooms by 12:45 – or at the Lake 1pm – ready for a 1:30pm start. \nPlease bring a plate for a shared afternoon tea back at the clubrooms at the conclusion of the racing. \n\nKids will be running 2 x 1k laps\nAdults will run 2 x 1.92k laps anti-clockwise as per the map below

SUMMARY:Club Cross Country Champs
DESCRIPTION:Held at Minogue Park\, meeting next to the miniature railway\, at the end of Tui Avenue.\n\nPlease register online prior to attending event:\nhttps://hamiltoncityhawks.wufoo.com/forms/w1579clz007qf8i/\n\nOnline registrations close at 8pm on 16th June. Registrations will be taken on the day.\nThe course covers a 3 km lap and/or a 2 km lap\, with a 1 km lap for the younger juniors.\nIt is a challenging course with some hills and it can be wet and muddy. Suits Spikes or Trail shoes (or bare feet for the brave).\nJunior runners can only run up one grade\, and we limit anyone to running one race on the day.\n\nPlease wear your Club Singlet as this is an open event to all Waikato Bay of Plenty Athletics Clubs.\nBring a plate and hot water flask along for afternoon tea at Minogue Park.\n\nRace Times:\nRegistration at 13:00 onwards\n13:30 – Under 10s and under 12s\n14:00 – everyone else\n\nDistances per age grade are:\nU10 boys and girls – 1km\nU12 boys and girls – 2 km\nU14 and U16 boys and girls – 3km\nU18 boys – 6km\nU18 girls – 5km\nU20 men – 6km\nU20 women – 5km\nSM 20-39 – 9km\nSW 20-34 – 6km\nMM 40-49\, 50-59 & 60+ – 6km\nMW 35-49\, 50-59 & 60+ – 5km\nThe age grades will be sorted by age on the day.\n \nEvent History\nWe have used the Minogue Park since the club’s inception in 1928 with a few years except in the late 70s & 80s.  There have been various course changes over the years. In the late 60s\, for example\, the Centennial Pools (now Waterworld) were built smack bang in the middle of our course. It was a good running course then (with a heap of high fences) as is our current course.  Yes\, it does get a bit wet during the raining season\, but\, hey\, that’s cross country.  Merely running the course\, we are steeped in history. The current course was designed by Gordon Speirs in the mid-90s\, with only minor changes since.

DESCRIPTION:Hawks have been invited to attend Cambridge Harriers Club Cross Country event which is their Club Cross Country Champs event. \nSunday\, June 27\, 2021 at 1:15 PM – 2:45 PM \nKeeley’s Family Farm\, 333 Tirau Rd\, SH1\, Karapiro \nPlease note Different Entry Point onto the property. This has been changed due to major safety concerns getting back out onto SH1 after the event. New address for accessing property is 77 Newcombe Road which can only be accessed from the road coming from Cambridge past the Golf Course. So please advise your club members to come through Cambridge not down Expressway. Newcombe Rd is a side Rd on the left before you go under the Expressway. \nPlease meet at 1pm ready for a 1.30pm Start. also note there will be a little longer walk to get to the starting point. \nAfternoon Tea will be back at clubrooms after the event\, everyone welcome\, plate appreciated. \n \nAccess is via Newcombe Road\, accessible only via Tirau Road heading out of Cambridge past the Golf Course.\nTake the exit to the left marked Newcombe road and where there will be a Cambridge flag.
