Club Road Champs 2024 Results
A total of 37 runners came along last Saturday to enjoy some fast road racing for our club Road Champs on the slightly slippery footpath alongside the expressway..
It was an interesting day for running, with rain earlier clearing up to a quite humid afternoon. There was a reasonable head-wind going out, but almost none coming back, which caused a bit of overheating for some (it was ~20 deg – quite warm for the last day of winter!).
There was also a slippery patch of path around the 1km mark which made it even more interesting…And actually Jack Stirling still managed an outstanding time for his 5km race despite taking a tumble on the turn….luckily he was ok apart from a few scratches…!
