The 40th anniversary is to be held at the Massey University in Palmerston North, who had designed a world class cross country course on the grounds and farmlands surrounding the Sport and Rugby Institute.

The 10K is partly around town and also out on SH25. It starts and ends at the Whangamata Area School, Port Road, Whangamata.
