Taupo turned on a great day for the 2022 NZ Cross Country Champs held at Spa Thermal Park in Taupo on Saturday.

A fantastic effort by Boh Ritchie stepping up to the Women’s U20 race and taking a convincing win, and also another solid performance by Kerry White to back up from her win last year to come in second this year to an outstanding run by veteran Lisa Cross. Other great performances from Louie Endres to come in second also in the Men’s U18 in a very competitive field of 48 runners.

We also had a number of runners place 4th just outside the medals – Jack Stirling (Boys U14), Sara Jury (Women’s U18), Karyn McCready (MW50-54) and Dave Clark (MM70-74).

Congratulations to all who raced and represented our club, and also to those who were selected to represent WaiBOP.
