Congratulations to the small group of 8 Hawks who travelled over to Napier for the New Zealand Cross Country Champs at Mission Estate. I watched the live streams on YouTube and it was fascinating racing – with some outstanding efforts on a course that was maybe less hilly than Taupo, but certainly more muddy (in true XC style!.

Also well done to those who picked up national age grade medals…Anna Phillips 1st in the U14 Girls, Mike Peck 2nd in the MM55-59 grade, and Graham Clarkin loving his new age grade to pick up 3rd in the MM70-74 grade. Also hard luck to the Mumby men, Daniel and Cameron both having great runs to just miss out on the medals – close 4th’s to both of them.
