Around 4,000 runners took part in Total Sport’s Taupo runs last weekend, and we spotted about 12 Hawks in the results. Apologies if we missed someone.

There were plenty of highlights for the club, including Marion McKoy finishing 1st in her age grade in the half marathon. David Middlemiss also ran alongside his sister as she completed her first half marathon. We reckon David’s running exploits over the past couple of years may have provided a bit of inspiration for her!

Rowan Torckler had a great run too, finishing as the 1st female in the 5km in an impressive 18:19. And a big well done to one of our newer members, Tamahau Hicks, who won the Junior U13 10km in 45:41. A fantastic result!
