In the field of 473 finishers over 30 club members took part. Based on Cambridge High School the day was dull, overcast and quite windy which provided a challenge for those racing for PB’s.
The provincial champs were held locally and there was a big muster of Hawks taking part. A hard road race each week is vital to get our teams ready for the national road champs relay champs.

The Hawks, thanks to Graham Dudfield, once again managed to set a challenging 8km course around Horsham Downs for this popular and longstanding club event on Saturday, 5th August.
Sadly fields were small but with 27 Hawks taking part our club at least made an impact.
There was a pleasing turn out of thirty Hawks at the North Island Cross Country Champs on the fast pumice surface of Spa Park Taupo Saturday.
