Xterra Waihi

The XTERRA Trail Challenge Waihi is a trail running/walking event in the historic Karangahake Gorge which has a myriad of old tramping, rail and tramway tracks completely surrounded in native bush.

Event options:

  • Trail Tigers Kids Dash

  • Short course, 8.2km (walk or run)

  • Mid course, 13km (walk or run)

  • Long course, 20.5km (walk or run)

  • Super Long course, 42.2km Marathon (run only)

Please Note: ALL Courses (with the exception of the Trail Tigers) are required to carry a torch or headlamp with them for some dark tunnel fun! This is a compulsory requirement and participants will not be allowed to start without it.
