Well despite the weather doing its best once again to disrupt our plans, we had ~26 keen runners and their supporters turn out to run the short but tough course that is the Gilchrist Rosebowl up and around the eastern side of the Hamilton Lake.

We had a group of kids starting off first to run either the 1k or 2k courses, and they did superbly in the conditions…! The long grass would have been hard going for their little legs…! Kudos to the Steward family, with all 3 winning their respective races!!

Then onto the adults who ran 2 x 2k laps for a relatively short race of 4k’s. However don’t let the distance fool you, it is actually pretty tough with a couple of gnarly hills, some long wet grass, some slippery sections and the regular rain showers.
