Well another fantastic day across in Tauranga last Saturday for the Tauranga Open XC event at Waipuna Park hosted by Athletics Tauranga and the Tauranga Ramblers. A total field of over 200 runners, with around 12 Hawks competing (down a bit from last year). For those of you who have done this event before you will know it is a challenging course, with a very steep hill and a couple of hurdles on each lap. Well done to Aimee Ferguson who took out 1st in the SW 4km event, and Sabrina Edwards who took second in the same race.
