The 56th Lion Foundation Rotorua Marathon is set for Saturday 2 May 2020 along with the Half & Quarter Marathons and 5.5km Fun Run
There's no official Hawks event on this weekend, so lets all get along to our local Park Run at Hamilton lake.
Waihi and Waihi Beach in the southern Coromandel are the impressive setting for the spectacular Nugget Multisport Festival.
The event involves the traditional Half Marathon distance of 21.1km which is officially measured and certified under ANZ standards. There is also a 10km, 5km and RUN kids 2km for Under 16 year olds. All events have the option of either a Run or Walk.
A 2km loop where runners are divided into mixed teams of 3 and all run together.
There are 100km and 50km races, which follow a 2.5km loop course. The 100km can be run solo, or as part of a 4 person relay team, with each team member completing 25km.
Tauranga Ramblers club puts on this very well-organised event annually. It's on an excellent running surface and clubs gather from the Waikato Bay of Plenty to compete.
The race is going to be run over 3.8 k over 2 laps and is very doable for all. You gain a participation point for your house for coming along and running.
This is a major event on the club calendar each year. Held at Minogue Park, meeting next to the miniature railway, at the end of Tui Avenue.

This is a great annual event, even for those who are not that comfortable running cross country, as it covers rolling park-like grounds and is well drained underfoot.
Arguably Tokoroa’s best kept secret, Cougar Mountain Bike Park will wow even the most seasoned trail runners & walkers out there.
Sanitorum Hill, just outside of Cambridge is a great challenge for those that love racing hills. Distances: 4.8km for full race and 2km for 12 and under. Typically both races are handicapped starts.
Finally the first event of the season! We will select evenly matched teams of runners, from the people that Attend. Each runner will run a 3km leg.

This is a very popular event on the Hawks calendar and brings in many who haven’t attended the earlier cross country races.

This event will be both the National & Waikato Bay of Plenty Road Champs held at Mystery Creek, Hamilton.
Our club champs this year is to be held at a Ngaruawahia course.
The Sing Relay is a unique two-person fun relay on a 5km course and run in the “Helen Hall-King’s race format” from the Memorial Park.
Trophy Day based at club rooms. Handicap starts in our traditional season opener. Plenty of trophies up for grabs, be certain to compete on the day. This event is open to everyone.
The Athletics New Zealand Road Relays is to be held in Christchurch this year.

Taking in some of Hamilton’s best known landmarks, the 12km and 6km courses include the scenic Waikato River paths and the iconic Hamilton bridges. Kids event 2km.
The Cambridge Half Marathon, 10km and 5km is an annual running and walking event at Cambridge High School.
This year's Hawks Road & Cross Country Club Open Day will be held on Saturday 2 April - doors open at 12.30pm. Social pack run at 13:00
