    This relay is a great annual event for running and walking teams with a course that winds its way through the iconic Redwood Forest. It is an event that is looked forward to by all and well represented by running clubs coming from as far as Hawera and Auckland.

    The Cambridge Half Marathon, 10km and 5km is an annual running and walking event at Cambridge High School.

    Te Awamutu Golf Course Run

    Te Awamutu Golf Club Kihikihi Rd, Te Awamutu, New Zealand

    There is a 3km event for school aged children, a 6km walk/run (2 laps) open to everyone, and a 12km run (3 laps). Golf course with undulating, short grass, also suitable for spikes.

    Reduction relay is a fun cross country event where runners were divided into mixed teams and must all run together. One runner drops off each lap.

    The 55th Lion Foundation Rotorua Marathon is set for Saturday 4 May 2019 along with the Half & Quarter Marathons and 5.5km Fun Run

  • The Riverhead Backyard ReLaps Relay

    Riverhead Forest Riverhead Forest, Auckland, New Zealand

    Join a Hawks relay team of 2, 4 or 6 people completing as many laps as possible (non-stop) in either 8, 12 or 24 hours.

    Run or mountain bike in the Central Plateau along the 42 Traverse, a historic logging road.

  • NZ 100km Champs

    Hagley Park, Christchurch 14 Riccarton Ave, Christchurch, New Zealand

    There are 100km and 50km races, which follow a 2.5km loop course. The 100km can be run solo, or as part of a 4 person relay team, with each team member completing 25km.

    Waipuna Park Kaitemako Road, Welcome Bay, Tauranga

    Tauranga Ramblers club puts on this very well-organised event annually.  It's on an excellent running surface and clubs gather from the Waikato Bay of Plenty to compete.

  • Huntly Half Marathon

    Huntly Rugby Park Huntly Rugby Park, Huntly, Waikato, New Zealand

    The event involves the traditional Half Marathon distance of 21.1km which is officially measured and certified under ANZ standards. There is also a 10km, 5km and RUN kids 2km for Under 16 year olds. All events have the option of either a Run or Walk.

    This year it is going to be race as the first real House race of the year.

  • Hawks Relay at Taitua Arboretum

    Taitua Arboretum Taitua Rd, Hamilton, New Zealand

    This is an interesting and challenging course, twisting through the 2.6 km of pebbled pathways of this beautiful reserve land.

  • Double Rainbow

    Lake Okaro Waimangu, New Zealand

    A 42km, 25km, 17 or 10km off-road run/walk based around Rainbow Mountain, Rotorua.

  • Club Cross Country Champs – Open Event

    This is a major event on the club calendar each year, this year we also welcome all Waikato Bay of Plenty clubs as an Open club event.

    The Sing Relay is a unique two person fun relay on a 5km course and run in the "Helen Hall-King's race format from the club rooms. This is a relay for all abilities and is loads of fun. You will either run less or more than 5km depending on your ability and that of your team member.

    This is a great annual event, even for those who are not that comfortable running cross country, as it covers rolling park-like grounds and is well drained underfoot.

    Sanitorum Hill, just outside of Cambridge is a great challenge for those that love racing hills. Distances: 4.8km for full race and 2km for 12 and under. Typically both races are handicapped starts.
